I have a John Deere riding lawn tractor. My lot are less than a quarter acre. My neighbor has bought little $300 Toro so he doesn't have to make a monthly lawnmower payment.
I know all you Toro users won't admit it, but that's because you can't or don't want to spring for the monthly lawnmower payment. (You know who you are) Let me put it this way, every few months or so a friend who uses a Toro calls me up to do a job for him, seems that the Toro can't handle what needs to get done for that job. So, in conclusion, if cutting lawns are a hobby, use something other than John Deere, but if your livelihood depends on tabulations, er, ah, I mean lawn care, use the best, use John Deere.
Of course, his lawn still looks better than mine.
