The Advertising Research Foundation held a series of roundtable discussions on the topic of Internet based surveys that you would find very helpful. I recommend you go to their website and grab the abridged notes of the meeting and then contact them for additional full reports. There were several prominent people presenting at the meeting, so you would want to contact them as well.
