I work in the research dept. of a large bank. I manage many projects and need to track my time and expenses by client, by cost center, etc. All clients are other departments within the bank. We sub out mostly everything. Does anyone know of a good program that can help me track costs. Currently I'm using Quickbooks Pro to track my time (I'm also an independent consultant so I own that program for my business), and Excel to track invoices as they come in. This doesn't provide for any project planning. I've heard Microsolt Project is great...if you're an engineer or working in teams (which we don't at the bank...each project is managed by a project manager like me). Any thoughts? Thanks!
