So far, your comments appear to support my findings that on-line panel methods work, on-site has potential, and on-line research is valid as a method of surveying on-line deliverables (ie. the dot.com ventures). This, however, does not address the issue of those markets not served by on-line deliverables, the bricks and morter businesses, who are also seeking to achieve enlightenment with faster turn-around and lower costs.
These are the people who are pushing me to help them find an on-line method. Though not so glamourous as the "dot coms", these firms have research budgets, too. They have employees with families. They need to make good decisions. To do this, they need good, projectable information to plan their futures. They need real world answers.
Cyberburgers may look tastey, but lack nutrutioinal value.
So, back to my original question... Is anyone aware of anything new in on-line research that is making progress in this direction?
