It seems to me like the auto manufacturers pay bonusus based on satisfaction scores. We had the exact same thing happen to my wife and I from both dealerships we purchased from this year (Dodge & Volvo). The Volvo salesperson spent 5 minutes explaining to us why we should give them the highest possible rating.
My wife, who is also in this business, and I had a good laugh about this. Easy for us to do. I'll bet the Dodge and Volvo aren't laughing!
