As an MBA student just finishing a course in Marketing Research, I am interested in your comments about the bias and would like to know more about what you meant. Is the bias associated with the structure of the question or the fact that the results can be viewed immediately? In my opinion, the ability to view results before you vote would lead to non-systematic bias because respondents would purposely try to boost certain numbers. The fact that the poll is conducted by Motley Fool indicates a possible systematic bias towards search engines that cater to "financial" type people. Is my thinking correct or am I way off base?
I am doing a marketing research internship where I am designing a web-based survey. I would be interested in hearing your comments. Would you be interested?
