Full-time Data and Analytics (Search) - Sr. Manager

The Sr. Manager Data & Analytics (Search).

Responsible for the design, development and on-going maintenance of analysis and reporting for a leading retail client, specifically focusing on search engine marketing (SEM). This includes managing data from many sources, identifying and problem-solving for issues, interpreting and presenting program results and insights and ultimately the development of a data-driven analysis approach for clients. familiar with working in large data sets, preferably in an online retail, e-commerce environment.

Specific Responsibilities:
• Analysis & Reporting
• Perform analyses (using SQL and other analytics tools) that support efficient execution of day-to-day SEM activities and optimization strategies
• Serve as a subject matter expert for available data elements and analytics capabilities
• Assist in designing methodologies to attribute offline sales to online media
• Analyze campaigns and identify key insights such as trends, behaviors and relationships impacting campaign performance
• Utilize techniques such as market mix models and data mining in relation to the overall objective of maximizing Marketing ROI
• Lead the design of tests (A/B and other types) to measure the effectiveness of search programs
• Implementation
• Perform data mining investigations to find new insights related to customers and behavior
• Maintain dashboards with KPIs specific to paid and natural search efforts
• Work with the search marketing team to put analysis into action
• Integrate multiple data sources in order to develop marketing performance dashboards and campaign attribution models
• Manage and interact with search platform vendor(s) and search management team to ensure system can deliver on proposed and advanced campaign metrics

Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree in engineering, marketing/advertising, statistics, mathematics, business, management information systems or related field is required, Masters degree is preferred.
• Extensive reporting and analysis experience is required
• 5+ years of experience working in web analytics and/or digital media analytics in an e-commerce environment is required
• Experience with search management platforms such as Kenshoo, Marin, DART Search, Omniture Search Center or similar tools is required
• Experience with media measurement tools including 3rd party ad serving, syndicated research and web analytics, such as Netratings, Comscore, Hitwise, Doubleclick, Atlas, Omniture, Coremetrics, Google Analytics , etc. is required
• Knowledge and experience with regard to advanced statistics and modeling is a plus

Required Skills:
• Strong math and analytical skills
• Advanced MS Office skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Extensive experience with database and analytics tools such as SAS, SPSS, Clementine, KXEN, Oracle, MS SQL Server, Greenplum, DB2, Teradata, Sybase, MS Access, Excel PivotTables and enterprise business intelligence tools such as Cognos, Business Objects or Tableau
• Experience in software code development with programming languages such as Microsoft Visual Studio, VB Script and Java Script

Salary to 110k
