Market Research Manager
at Orly Miller, Analytic Recruiting Inc. in United States: Ohio
Market Research Manager sought by major financial services company in Columbus, Ohio. The successful candidate will have a passion for and expertise in market research and have both vendor management and hands-on experience. The role requires an ability to expedite short term projects and to develop a long term strategy for increasing the appropriate and effective use of consumer-driven insights. This position reports to the Head of Retail Research.
Responsibilities:
• Plan and manage both strategic and tactical concept testing studies to optimize current and future offerings.
• Work with the demand forecasting team to run ad hoc product demand tests.
• Share research with key stakeholders through scheduled research presentations and informal communications.
• Manage the budgets and schedules for research projects.
• Orchestrate and view focus groups to make sure business partner questions are answered and to ensure moderator fully probes salient issues.
• Keep business partners up-to-date on current and upcoming projects.
• Provide backup support to rest of market research team as needed.
• Use other research methods as appropriate.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor degree in Marketing, Communications or related field. Masters preferred.
• Minimum of 10-years marketing research experience, including research management.
• Strong PowerPoint and Excel skills.
• SAS or SPSS programming experience. Base SAS certification is required within three months of hire date.
• Online survey tool experience.
• Research team management experience.
• Desired: familiarity with and interest in financial services, especially related to consumer investing.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required
